Jack Crisp...An interesting story arrived in my inbox here at AnglerTimes.com from a 12 year old angler living in the UK. He proudly requested I publish his story about the 25 pound Pike he caught on Pentney Lakes. OK...I have no idea where that is other than what I found on Google Maps. Regardless, his story is what adventure and the fun of fishing is all about rolled up in one proud young boys enthusiasm.

Meet Jack Crisp in the UK with his 25 pound Pike. His story in his own words follow. Hello I would like to put my pike in your paper. I caught it on the 9th of February and it was 25lb (pb) and I am 12 years old and I was fishing on my own.

I caught the pike at Pentney Lakes. I used a bait boat to send the smelt over by a tree which I know had a deep whole so I thought there must be a big pike sitting there and there it was. I knew it was a good fish as soon as it struck. It pulled all my line of my reel after about 5mins of fighting...the pike's head was massive and I netted it quick as I was fishing on my own and I'm 12 years old and it was a big achievement to me. Jack Crisp

Thank you Jack for sharing your story and photo of your awesome catch! Way to go!!!
